The Chasebaits Crusty Crab has been modeled after the common shore crab and is perfectly balanced to always flip onto its belly when cast. With rapid vibration legs, 10X material and a super strong fine gauge hook, the Chasebaits Crusty Crab is tough and ready for battle. Slow roll, jig or just leave it in the rod holder.

Awesome looking bait
January 7, 2022
Looks incredibly life-like, lots of natural movement in the legs as it sinks. The belly plate of the crab is actually the weight, a very nice subtle detail. This bait sinks incredibly slow making it great for sight casting to sheepshead munching on pylon barnacles near the surface. In deep water situations or with string current, I recommend adding split shot weights to your line or even using a Carolina rig.

Great crab lure

Awesome action and very realistic looking. Great item to have against any crustacean eating fish. Made with TPE so be sure to store in original packing between fishing.

These super life like crabs are a great imitation bait. They are a different way to try and catch tog in the northeast and they are great for sheepshead and redfish down south.

Imitation Crabs
March 15, 2020
Dropped next to a dock piling the crusty crab is a good Sheepshead bait. Hook is the right size and the crab looks great as it falls. If you have gulp dip it in the container.
Pros
  • Looks great as it falls, pretty durable with flex plastic, works well under the docks and next to pilings
Cons
  • For sheepshead the crusty crab (fiddler impersonation) seems to work best on the fall next to pilings however it is very light and becomes less effective if there is a lot of current as it gets swept away quickly. A bit expensive but after a few sheepshead dinners the cost seems to become a distant memory!
