The Century Stealth Series rods are a slower action parabolic rod with backbone. These rods with their slower recovering action, prevents extra tumble that a faster action rod will produce in the non-aerodynamic pluugs. These rods are also perfect for using light leaders, and light bait with circle hooks. The moderate tip on these rods enables you to throw 3-4 ounce sninkers on light 15# fluorocarbon leaders without worrying about leaders breaking. These rods are perfect for throwing eels, darters, dannys, and any other lipped swimming baits that aren't aerodynamic.

Paired with a pen conflict 6000 this rod shoots 4 ounces out of sight. Great for hitting and getting over the bar and sensitive enough for smaller fish
Pros
  • Outstanding blank
Cons
  • Needs a hook keeper

I admired this rod so much during a demo I should've taken it home, this thing casts flawlessly. The guides are high grade, it can throw well out of its lure range under or over effortlessly. 2-4 seems to be the sweet spot

Insane surf rod

Finally got my hands on this rod. It is insane, (just like all century rods) this rod throws unbelievably, great for casting spoons in the surf to bottom rigs.
Pros
  • Sensitive
  • Light
  • Casts forever
Cons
  • This rod is a more moderate bend, which can be kinda off putting, but it can throw the weight listed well

Quality of the build and components is good.

Rod felt too slow for me when casting...distance seems to not great casting SP minnows.

Would this be a good rod for plugs? Bomber Long-A, Diawa SP, YoZuris?

The Century stealth rod is great for casting as long as your not exceeding the manufacture specs on lure rating
