The Kevlar Nor'Easter series has a Nanotechnology Structural Fiberglass reinforced tip and a carbon kevlar armored butt section for the most durable and fracture resistant rod on the market today. This is referred to as Armalite Technology. With this technology the Kevlar Nor'Easter rods can withstand the abuse that the North East conditions put on rods. This is technology is used in the auto racing industry to add strength, and fracture resistance to a component, then they use a carbon core with a structural fiberglass outer layer fortified with nano-technology resin to get super durable, high performance, yet light weight rods.

Nice Rod - But really expensive
April 1, 2021
I did a review of this rod on SRB. This rod is great, but it's price is too high. You can get the Lamiglas Carbon Surf 10ft which is essentially the same rod for a lot less money.

Great rod, it's got a great mod fast action, has enough soft bend through the blank to make it great for eel fishing, but there are rods of the same quality for hundreds of dollars less.

Best comparison, this rod is a slightly beefier 1201L Lami blank with kevlar wrapped around it from butt to stripper guide.
Pros
  • Great rod but too pricey
Cons
  • High priced, maybe overpriced

Wow!!!

What an amazing rod. I use this at the cape cod canal mainly my top water rod. But still toss 3oz al gags with it. This rod it a lot of fun. Rod had a lot of flex with a lot of back bone. I have put this to the test lifting. 30” striped bass onto the rocks with it. I paired it with the ultegra 14k XTD and they are a perfect match. Works a 3oz pencil like you wouldnt believe and tosses a SP minnow. I recommend this rod.
Pros
  • All of the above.
Cons
  • None.

Great all around rod! Fishes bucktail, poppers and pencils very well! A bit heavy but matched with a reel between 17 and 20oz feels great for me. Nothing higher! Very powerful and can yank fish up onto rocks quickly!
Pros
  • Sensitive, strong
Cons
  • Weighty, pricey
