Tough enough to tame the biggest and baddest bottom dwellers, the Centaur Anglers Choice Constellation USA Bottom Fishing Rods are expertly crafted to handle the rigors of deep water angling. Built with northeastern bottom fishermen in mind, these rods are ideal for targeting species like black sea bass, tautog, flounder, and cod with heavy weights along deep offshore reefs. These bottom fishing rods will also function well in Southeastern and West Coast fisheries for applications where sensitive tips and strong backbones are desirable traits in a rod. The blanks are equipped with rugged, plus-sized double footed guides for maximum durability and smooth operation with any type of line. These rods are fitted with long EVA foam handles for extra fish fighting leverage and a rubber butt cap for comfortable fighting against your waist.

which rod would pair well with a Seigler SGN for striper fishing with drift spoons?
1 Answer
Hi Tim, The Centaur Anglers Choice Constellation USA Bottom Fishing Rods are specifically designed for bottom fishing applications. Instead I would recommend a Daiwa HRX70MHB Harrier X Jigging Casting Rod. This rod has more of a parabolic bend that allows a more natural presentation for jigging spoons with little fatigue to the angler and would be great to pair with a Seigler SGN conventional reel. https://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-hrx70mhb-harrier-x-jigging-casting-rod.html Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.

Would a 2500-3000 size reel fit on the 7ft 10-25lb?
1 Answer
It would but only for pretty shallow bottom fishing also would depend on the reel you have.

213UBF-80B4 This model should be able to handle this as long as you're not trying to make any long casts.
