Achieving unparalleled casting and fish fighting performance, the Centaur Anglers Choice Chiron Inshore Popping Rods are the ultimate rod for casting plugs to some of the most prized game fish species. These top-of-the-line popping rods are tailored for targeting small to medium sized "big game" species such as tuna, GT's, roosterfish and other predators that can be caught on plugs. The Chiron Inshore Popping rods are built on blanks from imported Japanese Toray carbon that provides a lightweight yet extremely powerful construction. A fast action tip allows for accurate, long casts while the powerful backbone helps anglers put the brakes on some of the toughest, hardest charging game fish. Equipped with the finest Fuji components such as non-slip coated Fuji reel seats and Fuji KW Silicone Carbide Guides, these rods offer comfortable all day, friction free casting and superior line management. The handles feature fore-grip and rear-grip EVA construction with a rounded rubber butt cap. All models feature a hidden butt-joint two-piece configuration for the convenience of a two-piece rod with the uninterrupted action of a single-piece rod. The stealthy matted black finish and 1K carbon accents at the guide sections offer a unique styling for that custom rod look.

Killer rod with great action
August 30, 2022
This is the perfect rod for tossing poppers just up to 5oz without a problem. Light, comfortable and whippy rod, paired with an 8-10K is a great match. Handled fish to 120lbs very well.

Very brittle

Rod has great action and weight but very prone to snapping. Broke 10" off tip while casting. Blank is very brittle and fishes under rod rating.
