HI - was wondering that, apart from the screws/bolts, do I have to drill a large hole through my boat to accomodate the fitting. Or does it come with a flush mounting kit that I can sit it on?

It does not come with a flush mounting kit. How you decide to install it is based on your preference and boat, whether that includes drilling a large hole in your boat or not.
