Im yet to catch a pompano but they catch fish, i have catch a ton of lady fish with these jigs and some other bycatch, but Mr pompano has managed to be very sneaky.

On all 3/8, 2 pack jigs. The eye opening was not facing the hook, only on the 3/8. Mini vise and flat pliers seems to have remedied the situation.

I bought both yellow/white and pink/white, they both work great with super sharp hooks. The paint on the yellow/white one is super strong and I haven't seen any of them worn down, however, the paint on the pink/white one is super easily worn out after one or two casts.

I'd love to use them for pompano and anything that bites it. I normally use either while/yellow or white/pink color. Base on my experience of using the jig, the paint on white/pink is not good, it came out easily after only one or two casts (not sure it was just the batch that I ordered from or its the paint itself) and it happened for most of the white/pink I had (around 20), meanwhile, the white/yellow one is pretty good. The hook is really sharp.

I watched many videos on youtube of people fishing from the beach for pompano using this jigs. They are supposed to be the next great thing for fishing this tasty fellow. I only used them once with no luck. Im sure they work it just was a bad day.

They have a great finish, strong hook and by the way in most of the videos that I watched, the 8 out of 10 pompanos go for a little fly that you tie above this jig. This jig its mostly used for weight to cast with a couples of hits here and there.

So far I havent seen Mr Pompano yet, but this new method of attaching this jig at the bottom and a little fly looking hook above is a must try for beach anglers. For what i have seen in youtube most of the hits are on the fly.

The jig is pretty basic, lead paint an a hook. Well made.

catches just about anything inshore with its simple action. Cast out and snap jig it off the bottom with a teaser for best results. Hooks could be stronger, but its designed to be fished on light tackle with lesser drag. For the price, it's a good product.

These jigs are very similar to the classic pompano jig used in florida how every they do not have the typical skirt. I decided to try them anyway because they were so cheap. They worked great on my past trip to Sanibel Island and we landed some nice pompano. I'm looking forward to this summer at the jersey shore and trying these for kingfish and croaker in the surf.

USED these great jigs off shore on a slow drift fishing day. The yellow color adds a little extra visual attractant with a cut bait strip on the hook! Sharp hooks!
