The Bubba 6in Chubby Knife is made with a curved blade. Perfectly designed for caping or meat cutting. Great for in home use as well. This knife features full tang construction, made from a single piece of steel that provides strength, stability, and balances the knife. This knife also features a trigger grip, and thumb and finger pads for total control. This knife also has safety guards for protection from the blade as well as spines of fish. The handle is a no slip grip textured handle made from thermoplastic polymer and wrapped with special synthetic rubber that stays sticky when wet for total grip security. This knife is factory sharpened by hand. This knife also includes a custom black synthetic sheath.

Great knife for filleting large fish. I reviewed the same design knife being used to filet grouper on you tube and it works.

Haven't used the blade yet to see if the curved shape is useful but the blade itself appears to be solidly built and I haven't been disappointed with any other Bubba Blade products thus far.

This is probably the best knife we have ever used in our elk hunting experience. To test how good it was, we used one knife on two Elk and it worked perfectly. The handle never got slippery and the blade didn't get dull. Our group of six hunters, are now all using this knife.

can be used for fishing? ..am looking for a "short" bubba knife for fishing..but not for filleting

Jackson, This would be a great for gutting or butchering meat, the better knife for fishing would be the 7in Woody.
