The Bubba 9in Tapered Flex Knife is designed for filleting and carving. The blade is also non stick coated that is bonded with titanium that helps prevent rusting and pitting and allows meat to slide off the blade effortlessly. This knife features full tang construction, made from a single piece of steel that provides strength, stability, and balances the knife. This knife also features a trigger grip, and thumb and finger pads for total control. This knife also has safety guards for protection from the blade as well as spines of fish. The handle is a no slip grip textured handle made from thermoplastic polymer and wrapped with special synthetic rubber that stays sticky when wet for total grip security. This knife is factory sharpened by hand. This knife also includes a custom black synthetic sheath.

This is my second Bubba Blade and I love that this is a bit thinner and more flexible than my first one. The blade stays sharp is one of the best fillet knives I've owned

Had an opportunity to clean up a few blackfish. These fish have a tendency of dulling a knife really quick.This knife made short work of cleaning 20 fish without needing a touch up. Very pleased.

I had always purchased cheaper filet knives that did the job functionally, but those knives always required lots of additional sharpening and were of the eventually disposable kind. I look back and think how foolish I was to try and scrimp on filet knives when I think of how much money I spent on those knives now that I have some Bubba's.
The knives have and excellent grip and feel. High quality steel with just the right amount of flex. I purchased the 7inch first and then after using it purchased the 9 inch too. I generally keep Striped bass in the 15 to 25 pound range and usually, but not always let anything over the go so they can hopefully grow into big trophy fish someday. These knives make short order of those fish and are also excellent for doing the trimming of the red fat because they are razor sharp and flexible. I actually use filet gloves just to be on the safe side.

Great for filleting all types of fish, whether it's flounder to tuna it cuts without a problem.
