The new design incorporates a molded receiver cup that hinges and pivots on the gimbal pin for vertical up and down movement for pumping or "stroking" the fish to the boat. The receiver cup itself has a horizontal elongated open configuration for handling the left or right directional changes of fast moving pelagic's. Great little belt. Easy to stow, and provides just the right amount of stability and protection. The non-slip pad on the back is great. Braid makes great belts.
