The Braid Thumper Squid Jigs have been carefully designed to be fished in a wide variety of water depths and for a wide variety of fish, for both inshore and offshore situations. They come in 8 different weights to accommodate all desired water depths and fishings applications. The Thumper Squid jigs are perfect for all bottom-fishing applications — either inshore of offshore, depending on water depth. The lighter jigs (3/4 oz, 1-1/2 oz, 2-1/4 oz and 3 oz sizes) can be fished where water depths range from 4 feet to approximately 30 feet in depth. These smaller sizes are perfect for all Inshore applications. The heavier jigs (4-1/4 oz, 5-1/4 oz, 7 oz and 10-1/2 oz) can be fished for all deep-water applications up to 200 feet. These beautifully finished jigs come in 5 colors, one for almost every need the angler might have.

Just not for bottom fishing

Great action with this lure. My daughter and I caught fluke, black sea bass, and even 10 to 15 lb. bluefish using this lure. Only downfall is the assist hooks when a bluefish bite it. Sometimes they get chewed off.
