Bottom Sweeper Jigs are a high performance trophy tog and sheepshead jig developed from countless hours of fishing and research. Bottom Sweeper Jigs are symmetrically designed to resist roll over with an astounding front to rear balance. This design also allows them to drop quickly, glide over structure, and stay in place in a rushing tide.
The compact profile of the Bottom Sweeper allows it to be ingested into the fish’s mouth and deeply impact the corner of the jaw, resulting in a better hook-up ratio on finicky species that can be difficult to hook. Bottom Sweeper Jigs are built to withstand the rigors and punishment of some of the hardest fighting fish from the fertile back bays to deep dropping offshore structure. While most commonly used for bottom dwellers with live or cut crustacean baits, anglers have also found the Bottom Sweeper Jigs to be effective for use in live lining applications for species like striped bass and snook. The jury's still out as far as color. I ordered the chartreuse for no apparent reason. But plenty of people say that doesn't make much difference,and I'd agree since these are used with crabs anyway.
The design is genius as far as getting your bait into the spots where the fish are and not getting stuck there.
And unlike some painted jigs, you can usually take a new one out of the package and tie it right on without having to clear paint out of the eye hole.

Wonder is these would work for Flounder here on west coast of Fla. on say a sandy bottom maybe a little small shells. Thats where I look for them gigging over the years.
I was thinking maybe these would do the job and maybe place a rubber tail shad on it too.

Hi Jack, The bottom sweeper jigs are intended for blackfish and sheepshead due to the very small hook size. I would recommend using a Spro Prime Bucktail between 3/8 to 1oz depending on the water depth and current. https://www.tackledirect.com/spbucktailjig.html. These have a slightly larger hook and longer hook shank and have the necessary room to add soft plastic tails on the back as trailers.
