Crimp could be improved by trimming long tag end and maybe adding some chafe protection.

Crimp for loop end to attach to main line could be improved by trimming long tag end and maybe adding some chafe protection.

    Good Trolling Lure for Mahi
    October 27, 2020
This is a good trolling lure for Mahi in the Gulfstream off the Florida Keys. I run it far enough behind the boat it will be just under the surface. It works well either bare or with a strip bait. Many times a Mahi will pass up a rigged ballyhoo to hit this bait. Tuna will hit it too.
    Pros
    • Easy to rig - effective - good value
    Cons
    • Check the crimp at the hook - sometimes they are not tight. If not tight - cut it off and tie the line to the hook.

    Re-rig it if you buy
    March 22, 2017
Used a 'Turbo Hammer' this last weekend on Mafia Island, Tanzania. Something hit it, but all I got in the boat was the leader that slipped out of the crimp. They crimped the leader onto the hook with only one cheap crimp that looks like it's made of aluminum foil.
    Pros
    • Bullet shaped head to go down in the water somewhat when trolling. Low cost.
    Cons
    • You get what you pay for. Cheap rig.

Cheap lure that works better with bait
    July 21, 2014
Works well without bait but hits are better when baited. Got me a couple biggies over the weekend. Build material acceptable at this price point.
    Pros
    • Cheap and it works!
    Cons
    • Somehow better when baited.

Lures are not as shown. They are made of Flashabou instead of Krystal Flash
    May 22, 2014
These lures were previously made with Krystal Flash but are now made with Flashabou material. The items shown on your website are the older version that is made with Krystal Flash material. I really wanted the Krystal Flash version, but still a very good price for the item and they do catch fish.
