The RC80 Flat Line Release Clip, connects to a rope cleat, transom ring or dive platform on the transom of your boat. Allows baits to be trolled below the surface and keeps lines from being wind blown into other lines causing tangles. To book your fishing line in the clip, first open the release arm, place the fishing line over the arm, then close the arm. Adjust the adjusting screw for the desired tension required for the size of bait you are trolling.

Great for trolling

I have a mid size center console without outriggers. These help me keep my inside lines down flat and make a great presentation with hogy harness jigs while trolling. The quality is very nice. All around very happy with purchase. Much better than using rubber bands.

I use this release clip with a Rapalla diving lure to ensure the lure attains it’s maximum depth, during Trolling. The clip is attached to a U bolt fitting located low the water on the transom the transom. When a fish hits the lure the line is released and the fight is on.
