  • Black Hole Cow Special is super strong and super durable due to use of Nano Technology.
  • Specially designed for big Cow (Yellowfin Tuna) in 100~300lb range on long range boats.
  • Primarily developed for using the rail on long range boats, but also can be used for jigging and popping rod for monster Yellowfin or Bluefin Tuna in 200~300lb range.
  • Tip is light enough to throw the light baits or lures, but mid-section of the blank has enormous backbone.
  • Super light weight (11.5 oz.) blank for its class.
  • Fuji SIC Guides & Fuji Reel Seat

almost too powerful

this rod is a monster, i tested one of these along side the standard cape cod special popping rod.
this thing is in a whole other class power wise, you could water ski using this rod. it was actually too strong for me to really handle properly, so i ended up with the 200g 7'6 popping.

i may buy one of these in the future though and put an 800lb giant on it.
Pros
  • monster of a fishing rod

I have a number of black hole rods and they are very good quality. I landed a 200lb tuna surface casting on this rod and I am very pleased with the purchase. I paired it with a Shimano dogfight 8000

If I plan on using this rod for top water and jigging for Tuna off cape cod would the shimano Stella 18000 or 20000 be a better choice?
1 Answer
It depends on the size class of fish you intend on encountering. If you plan on targeting fish upwards of 200lbs., then you'll want the 20K. If you pla on targeting smaller class fish, the 18K will do just fine.
