Great rod for medium sized yellowfin.

Took this rod to Venice, LA this season. No problem taking it on to the plane as a carry on item. It fit into the overhead bin with no issue. I paired the rod with a Shimano Talica II 16. Chunked for yellowfin behind shrimp boats. This rod has no absolutely no problem bringing in an 80b yellowfin. I'm sure it can handle bigger. The butt joint design is really beefy and felt like a once piece.

Great Travel Rod

Purchased this rod to expand my fishing capabilities while traveling light. Fits great in a suit case without having to drag the rod case along. Use it mostly for shallow water light bottom jig fishing from panga style boats. Probably too short for larger boats with wide rails. Comes with a nice case. Great little rod for a great price. Picked up conventional and spinner to match whichever reel style I take with me.
