Featherweight but strong

Putchased this rod as a designated Blackfish rod. I paired it with an Accurate Valiant 300. The total package is super lightweight, while retaining enough backbone to pull fish out of the structure easily. I will probably use this for Fluke and Sea Bass as well. Not cheap, but a high quality rod.
Pros
  • Very lightweight, strong backbone.
Cons
  • Price point is high, but was able to purchase when TD had a 20% off sale, that made it more reasonable.

Purchased this rod for deep water bottom fishing and Nantucket for dragging bait. So far the rod has handled 10 ounces without issue and was sensitive to bites.
Pros
  • Great for deep water bottom fishing when 10+ ounces is necessary

Very nice rod , excellent finish, filling, sensitivity , power , nice cloth cover. I use it for deep water fluke, definitely recommend for black fish, sea bass and can handle easy blues and decent stripes . I gave 4 stars because weights 8.8 oz not 8oz and there's no information about their guides used. Highly recommended.
