Love this rod, the quality is unbeatable. I liked it so much I had to get one of their popping rods as well. Very light and durable with more than enough back bone.

Great Price for High Quality Rod

Matched with Saltiga 4500. Excellent for travel. Nice case included. Gimbal option is a plus because you can fish with the cap on or off to suit belts with the gimbal pin. Good action. Looking to get a heavier model for bigger jigs.

Super-light Rod for Vertical Jigging
September 17, 2014
State of the art in 2-piece design. This rod is strong enough to take over 20# of drag; I wouldn't worry about the ferrule. The action of the rod is perfectly suited for a 150 gram jig.

This is a very well built 2 piece travel rod. It has a fast action, sensitive tip with a strong back bone. I use it for fishing jacks and halibut.
Pros
  • 1. High quality SIC guides.
  • 2. Beautiful rod case, easy for travel.
  • 3. Rod blank connected at the handle gives you the feel of a one piece rod.
Cons
  • 1. Parabolic rod action is preferred.
  • 2. Not sure if it is durable as a one piece Black Hole rod.

spectacular rod
April 10, 2014
Upon receiving the rod, I was impressed with the lightweight yet steong backbone feeling. The rod was manufactured with high quality and I coukd see the that it was well made. However, I decided to retuen the rod because I feel the length is too short and the 350g rating is too heavy. However, from mho it is a very good rod. Just doesnt suit me yet.
Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Strong backbone
  • Well-built
Cons
  • A bit too short for me.

Perfect Travel Companion

Purchased this rod to expand my fishing capabilities while traveling light. Fits great in a suit case without having to drag the rod case along. Use it mostly for shallow water light bottom jig fishing from panga style boats. Probably too short for larger boats with wide rails. Comes with a nice case. Great little rod for a great price. Picked up conventional and spinner to match whichever reel style I take with me.
Pros
  • Convenient size for travel.
  • Excellent action.
  • Quality build.
  • Comes with case.
Cons
  • Could be a bit short for some applications or personal preference.
