Pretty sure this lure is well proven. True the paint doesn’t hold up the best in salt water, toothy fish environment, but it does produce fish. This is probably the lure all lures should be measured against. There are salt water versions that may hold up better, but I am okay with paint pealing as long as it keeps producing.

I have the chrome and blue back and this thing kills spanish mackerel and ribbonfish. Not sure why it works so well but I'm not complaining. I did coat it in 2 ton epoxy to preserve the finish, and it seems to work!
