Berkley Trilene Tracer Braid Professional Grade has been field-tested and approved by the Berkley Pro Staff. The strongest Berkley braid ever, Trilene Braid features Dyneema fibers in a special Radial Braid construction. This construction has an optimum blend of pick count and 8 carriers to create a weave that is ultra-round, smooth and strong. A special coating technology holds its color longer and results (with the construction) in a smoother, quieter surface that slips through the guides and casts farther.

Berkley Trilene Tracer Braid has alternating hi and low-vis colors that provide point of reference to easily detect line movement. You can also measure your line; every hi-vis pass is approximately 5 feet.

Slick, round, braided line.

I have this in 65lb on a 400 size round reel. The trace is great. Helps keep track of your line.
Diameter is equal to 14lb mono. Compared to the (numerous) other braids I have used, this is the slickest, smoothest feeling. It also feels and looks totally round. Smooth through the guides, and easy handling. Recommended!

Love the tracer. 20 lbs test was weak.

I love the ability to see my line. Braided lines are strong, but if you get a little nick, they break easily. I purchased the 20 lbs test spool, but it kept breaking as I threw out bait with a 2 ounce weight and it kept breaking as I set the hook. I purchased a 40 lbs test spool, so hopefully this spool will be much better. We will see.
Pros
  • Braided lines are strong. I can see the tracer line.
Cons
  • It only takes a little nick to break the line. That break can happen anywhere.

...For what it is...?

....I'm still not use to it........ This line is not forgiving like mono.... You best tend your rod using any braid!! ..We lost a $600.00 rig not tending........ :( <')\\\\\><
Pros
  • ..Very Strong... best use for Sewing/making Sleeping Bags, Sewing Parachutes and Tents!! I'm 68 and a Mono Head!! I know how bad Mono is on fish...I make my own cast nets. The 'New Generation' uses 'Braid!' ..... I'm waiting/wading to see what this line causes in problems in the WATERS/EcoSystem and Water Life !
Cons
  • ....not forgiving.... a 'Kill Line'.......
