Love this bait, especially the chartreuse shad color. I throw it on a green pumpkin 1/2 oz Chatterbait and catch bass all day. The purple shimmer it has is awesome. Tight lines!

I have a lot of success Texas rigging the pit boss. One time I even caught 3 bass in 3 casts on the pit boss. I am a true believer.

favorite flipping bait

This is by far my favorite soft plastic, nothing else comes even remotely close. Sure I will throw other things but if I want a bite or am trying to cull fish this is the only bait I look to. Great for flipping and pitching, jig trailers, smaller ones you can dropshot rig. I use almost every color to imitate whatever the forge are on the body of water I am fishing. My personal favorite color is just good ol' green pumpkin, you can not beat it in clear to dirty or stained water. I will fish crazy colors like the chartreuse one when bed fishing and let me tell you the bass HATE it.
Pros
  • EVERYTHING!!!! Ease of use, color selection, the price and durability.
Cons
  • Only con I can REALLY think of is on the top of the bait where the hook needs to be skin hooked doesn't hold up that great but with how cheap these are this is a small issue.

The Pit Boss Bama Bug is a great bait for representing smaller craws. However it’s called Bama Bug for a reason if you know the lake your fishing has water bugs this it wether Texas or drop shot rigged.
