Get yourself some Kahle hooks with the Owner Centering Pin Spring. Crimp the Centering spring after you slide the Kahle hook past the barb. I use about 3-4 feet of flouro-carbon leader tied to a small swivel, which is attached to my main braided line (to prevent line twists, etc.). Cast it and let it sink. It will sink nice and slow and you may get a hit just on that. When retrieving it, I like to do a few jerks and let it sink/die again. I have caught my personal best with this set up... a la old "Banjo minnow" style.
