Scientists at Berkley have applied the famous FireLine process to thermally fuse a remarkably strong 8-carrier Dyneema PE fiber braid. It casts 10% farther than Berkley's classic FireLine. It's tougher offering 50% more abrasion resistance than classic FireLine. Berkley FireLine Ultra 8 line is rounder, smoother, and stronger. Allows for longer casts than ever.

Labeled as 4 lb is actually 10 lb test

Haven’t had a chance to cast with this braid yet but it is very different than other braids in that is has significant memory. Almost like that of a thin wire. The line rating is also odd in that the 4 lb spool I bought on sale was actually 10 lb test. 4 lb was the mono equivalent.

stuff is great but it is very expensive. User a backer of Mono to save yourself a ton of cash if you plan to spool this stuff.
