I really like the Berkley Powerbait Crappie Nibble for panfish of all species. When I go to spend the day catch & release panfish this bait is terrific. It keeps in my go bag and works in every pond or stream. The one drawback is smaller fish can nibble it off before the bigger ones can catch up. The good news is when you find a big one, they won't be shy. Bang, your on. Crappie, Bluegill, Pumpkin Seed, Perch, they all love it. I stopped using worm baits in favor of the Powerbait.
Pros
  • Attracts all species of panfish. Simple to use. Keeps in the tackle box for a very long time.
Cons
  • Melts down fairly quickly. Breaks up when smaller fish nibble. Could stay on the hook little better with a little more gummy form.
