Ive surf fished most of my life im 50yrs old. Im lucky to live close to the beach. One day fishing around 4 pm at high tide we were catching 3to 4 ft sharks and blues. Before my brother and I realized it was almost dark. This has happened to me 1000x . Everyone was catching fish so I knew to stay. We had a light but i had enough. The price wasnt bad and it came with the reel already spooled with 20 lb test line. It said on the tag you needed to buy 2 triple a batteries so i did. The light on rod is perfect in the dark you see everything. Now to the proof. About 11pm i landed a 22# rockfish on this pole just as it came. For night fishing you cant beat this rod. And they are strong and the reel never slipped when fighting with fish. My brother loved it said i wish we had it 10 years ago. So everyone your pretty safe with this one.
