Powerful Drag and 3 Spd! but need some improvements

Got a couple of Avet reels for inshore fishing.
They are like tank and never broke.
But you need to do the maintenance regularly for minor malfunctioning.
This 3 speed reel is powerful and very useful for Tuna fishing but it's not really smooth.
And the lever drag setting failed few times.

Superb smoothly operating reel

So far, this has been used for Oregon halibut fishing in 600 ft water depth, using 3 lb weights to maintain depth and drift. Very light and smooth compared to previous heavier reels. The lighter (65#) braid also contributed to less water resistance and less angler fatigue. Operation was so smooth that at times it was difficult to tell if the spool was turning. Smooth gear shifting, and the 3 gears assisted in pacing a 600'+ retrieve. Landed several halibuts up to 35 lbs, and while not the most challenging fish to boat, they provided a good initial test and angler familiarization opportunity for this equipment.

A beast for getting grouper off the bottom! Tremendous amout of drag for a smaller reel.

like that the raptors put out a tremendous amount of drag for their size. This has the same drag on it as my EX 30/02 and it is half the size.

We have a left handed model but its not a HX 5/3 its a HX 5/2 raptor

Do you carry left handed? What is the price difference on a lh reel? Are they life time warranty?

We do carry L/H avet reel in certain sizes and colors. We have a 30 unused return policy. If the length of time exceeds the 30 days the warranty than would go through the manufacturer.
