These reels are incredibly made & designed! Made in USA; Absolutely love that they offer a line of multiple colors but, blue was my 1st choice as I have installed them on matching blue Connley stand up Blue Young 50-100# trolling rods! TACKLE DIRECT & their employees are an awesome company & people to deal with.

Use this reel for lbsf off the New Jersey beaches and can’t say anything bad about it, drag a very smooth
Had a big shark pull it out of the pole holder into the sand and it still ran great

got a connley stand-up to go with it, but hasn't come yet. but used reel in tournament last weekend with my other rod, reel worked great. caught both dolphin, including the winner @ 24lbs. really nothing for this reel. the low speed is like a crane, kept in hi speed just to get a better feel so i didn't over crank the fish, until i get more experience with it. lever drag is awesome, super smooth and easy to adjust during fight. clicker is loud af, no concern there. reel is heavy, and big, not great experience with graphite reel seat. i tightened it but it wobbled a bit while fishing, definitely recommend good aluminum seat, which the new rod will have. line capacity is way off, or powerpro diameter is way different. but i bought 1500yrds of 100lb and about 1350yrds filled it up leaving enough room for 80lb mono. supposed to holder closer to 2k yrds. but overall, amazing reel, hoping it lasts a long time.

I have purchased 8 of these reels and have a 80 trx on order. So far I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. In comparison to other makes the Avets were a better option for the quality and money. Under stress the performance was never comprised. Off the coast of the outer banks equipment is tested on a daily basis. So far so good.

Very well built, quality is not common anymore. Avet does a great job and they are made in America!

Awesome reel. Easy to use two speed, loud clicker and plenty of drag. Combined with some hollow core and a good top shot and this reel can take on anything.

I ordered the Avet 30/2 for halibut fishing in Alaska. The reel was spooled by tickle direct prior to shipping which was very convenient. The reel feels very hefty and well made, I have not used it yet. A trip is planned in July so I will update review after I return.

My rod builder, 7 what's custom rods is building me a planer rod and I am about to purchase an 80 wide. I did hear that the first that there will be a 10 percent price increase. You can't beat it. The drag is incredible: powerful, smooth, and dependable. The clicker is OBNOXIOUSLY loud. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable. The body is robust and bomb-proof. I have personally caught swordfish to 300lb, grouper to 200lb, solid yellowfin tuna, and amberjack to 80lb on this reel. People told me a 30W wasn't enough for daytime swords but it's plenty- especially since I exclusively fight them in a standup harness. Mine is spooled with 800 yards of 100lb nomad braid and it's a beast. Save yourself some money- don't buy something more expensive. This is the reel you need for big fish.

I own several Avets and they are quality products. I have been very happy with the ones I've owned and can't wait to try this one out.

Great reel set up to fish wahoo and other offshore big game fish.

The reel is well built and lightweight. Drag is super smooth. Clicker is loud. I have already caught several medium size sharks on it and the reel was about to handle it well. Beautiful color also.

Avet is ahead of the game on design and functionality. These 30/2 EX's are lightweight and still have the capacity for pelagic trolling. Can't wait to break them in.
