The EX 3-Speed line of reels are big game reels made to make large game fish fear for their lives. These reels feature the first true 3-speed transmission put into production. These reels allow for effortless shifting through all three gears without taking your hand off of the handle. These 3-speed reels have a blazing fast high gear for clearing trolled lines quickly, picking up stack line from the kite, and deep drop jigging. Excellent reel for big game

i've owned two of these reels; the three speed version and I highly recommend it! I've caught plenty of yellowfin tuna between 200 and 325 pounds and never had a failure of any kind! The reel is so smooth that it's somewhat unbelievable. I do own most of the other 50 W reels but I prefer the Avet ... I use it primarily for Kite and balloon fishing! You won't be disappointed!

Anybody doubting this line of reels is crazy. Best reels on the market. Period!
