3000 Ardent wire

For an all around freshwater reel, there is nothing better! I've handled everything from 3" bream to 15ib blue cats, along with hundreds of largemouth bass!
Pros
  • Drag, casting, all aluminum body rotary and handle
Cons
  • After about 2 years of hard fishing, there a slight "geary" sound and vibration when turning the handle

are the size 1000 and the 2000, same size reel, just the spool capacity is different, or is there a body size difference between them?

The difference between the 10 and 20 size reels is just the spool size.

The Ardent Wire reels are for freshwater use and Ardent's website does not list the max drag of this reel. For further info regarding the max drag of the reel i would advise contacting Ardent. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
