The top grip is designed to twist left or right depending on tightening or loosing.

Turn either the rear or foregrip until it loosens then you can take the reel off

What is the line capacity of the reels?

We can't seem to find the line capacity ratings anywhere, but you will certainly get more than enough 6 lb mono on the reel for some light tackle fishing.
