You can't really use this thing wrong and there is something classic about the aesthetic. The hook attachments are a little antiquated and don't allow for a really free swinging hook (and the hooks seem to be just OK) but they have been working since my grandfather was a child. I have not had a ton of luck with these, but it seems like that it most likely because I am not night fishing and that seems to be where these shine.

When I vacation upstate NY and do some freshwater fishing I always pack this lure. I have had success using both the black and the frog color and mostly use this at night. I caught a PB 19" Bass on the frog.

The black Jitterbug is my all-time favorite night time bass lure, yet I know a lot of young guys who have never used one. I love to cast it around docks where the strikes can be explosive! I feel that the strike to hookup ratio is way better than tossing a black buzzbait or spinner bait.

This is my all time favorite lure to throw. I love the way it wobbles back and forth on the top making an awesome V-wake. And the bass love it too.

makes a huge rucks on top water, and gets the snakeheads interested in whats going on, i dont live in u.s.a. so no bass for me, but friends in the states say that they have used it to catch bass.

just imitate strugglung bug on the top water.
Very productive.

This lure has proven its self. it has an awesome wake action and catches big bass and pickerel.
