This 100% makes using braid better and safer. Wish it was more comfortable, hence 4 stars.

I fish hard from the beach about 5 days a week, I have not found a better finger protector!

This is a necessity for casting heavy lures with braid. I'm tired of my finger getting shredded from braid. This fits properly and seems well built. Decent price too for kevlar.

Of several others that I have tried. Aquaskinz is the best. Durable and long lasting.

Absolute game changer and must have casting with braid. I have sliced my finger enough to know this was a must buy. Great quality finger saver. Do yourself a favor and get 5.

I loved it early on but after a month of heavy fishing in the surf, the Velcro wore out and now it won't latch well. It would be great if they made one of these with a small buckle.

I have used these for year to protect my left thumb from spectra burns. It fits OK on the thumb even though it is made for the index finger. When fishing large tuna of So Ca or Baja where we flyline sardines with 80# or 100# spectra the damage to the thumb can be painful. Guys use finger tape but it is not as effective as the Kevlar used on the Finger Shield. Looks funny on your hand but works......

AquaSkinz will protect you from injury no doubt. I’m of the opinion that these are too rough on smaller diameter braids. I did notice more frequent damage to my smaller diameter braided lines than when I used the smooth tipped protector gloves.

Seems to be well made and fits ok. Won't get to actually try it out for a month or so ,, but have a good idea it will work welll

I use it surfcasting with braided line to protect my index finger. I have used it extensively and there is no deterioration yet. Very good quality. Recommended

I've never used tape, wrap, glove, or any other protection on my finger for surf spinning casting but I guess I don't want to take the chance after hearing the worst case stories of guys cutting their fingers when using braid. I don't get it but I guess I don't want to take any more chances than I should. So I tried this AquaSkinz Finger Shield because it has kevlar (was told to make sure any glove i use has kevlar) and this works. It does take some getting used to and I wasn't trying to hurl my plugs two football fields away. I just took it easy at first and in about 15-20 mins of casting, it was pretty decent. Once in a while hit hangs and i have to tell myself to extend my finger instead of letting the line slide off as I cast. Timing is everything with this glove but it provides the protection needed for braid and heavy lures.
