They Catch!
July 15, 2022
First, if they catch, they’re 5-star. If they’re used on non-specified fish, don’t rate em. I fish some cloudy water for flounder. When peanuts come in, they flash. As a charter captain, I found out these rigs perfectly mimic the flash of peanut bunker. If you tip em with Gulp Swim Mullet, it looks like a pair of fish. Add a piece of Sea Robin or Mack and you have a really nice scent trail. I do find the fish-shaped tape starts to come unglued if heavily used, but so does everything else. I manage to add a drop of superglue and 99% of time they get me through several more trips. I had six rigs on, today. They pretty much tangle-free. In three hours, they caught about 25-30 flounder (one was 20”), 10 sea robins, 2 oyster-crackers and one bluefish. That’s five-star for a charter captain.
Pros
  • Mimic peanut bunker and are pretty much tangle-free
Cons
  • Reflective tape can come apart (but rig is still intact), so sell some packs of tape.

Love high/ low rigs for pretty much everything. More bait in the water the more chance!

Works well on Rockfish
May 21, 2014
Used this product and tipped the hooks with squid strips or white Gulp mullets and it worked well on schoolie rockfish. Being on the west coast, I had never used a high low rig before but it worked once I figured it out.
Pros
  • Something new most rockfish haven't seen out here on the west coast.
Cons
  • Hook bent on a rock.Product may not be heavy duty enough to handle the rocks and reefs out here. Great product tho.
