Can you purchase this rod with a short bent butt instead of a straight butt?

What type of rod action does the 80/130 model have? Is it a stiff/broomstick style slow action or does it have flex in the tip?

The Alutecnos 80/130 Stand-up Albacore rod has a very stiff action for fighting very big fish.  There is very little flex in the tip, unless that big fish is on the end of you line.  Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Can a bent butt be switched out for the straight butt? What size does it take?

The Alutecnos Albacore Standup rod has a removable butt that can be switched to either straight or bent.  The size of the butt is based on the class of the rod, the 30-50 takes #2, 50-80 takes #4, and the 80-130 takes #6.  Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
