The Alutecnos 20 Gorilla Reel is equipped with a Multi Disc Drag system. It is also equipped with a recovery ratio of 4.4:1 which allows an easy rewinding of the linein any condition. Thanks to the Multi Disc Drag System, the drag system can easily exceed 45 lbs. brake, and guarantee the free-spool, an element that makes this reel a unique technological jewel with regard to power and versatility in use. There is the interesting possibility to have some hooking for harness, or once this is removed, to use the reel for vertical jigging.

Very solid reel

The craftsmanship and quality of the reel is evident when you hold it in your hands. This is a very solid, well built reel with one of the best anti-reverse systems available. I would give it five stars all around except for the price.
Pros
- One of the most technically advanced and well built reels on the market.
Cons
- The reel is pricey. Only time will tell if the extra cost is worth it. You can get two similarly sized Avet 2 speeds for the price on one of these.

excellent reel, actual line capacity better

Got a great deal on this reel from tackle direct, and it is my favorite conventional reel ive ever owned. I am a jig fishin enthusiast and this reel fits the bill for jigging monster bft. super smooth drag, super smooth cranking, enormous power. As far as capacity, I got 400yds 100 lb JB white, topped off with 100 yds Jb 130 hollowcore depth finder on top so the capacity is actually much better than stated.
