They are ideal for almost every species of gamefish such as lingcod, rockfish, tuna in the Pacific, striped bass, bluefish, cod, and tuna on the East Coast. Ahi jigs

Always find what I need with Tackle direct. Ahi jigs are the best in the gulf for grouper and snapper. They can't resist it. And best of all the price is a lot less than others comparable.
Pros
  • Price compared to bigger name brands. Simple to use.

And the assist goes to
December 5, 2021
These diamond jigs are better in the assist hook variety. If you buy the wrong kind just change it to using an assist hook and out some glow paint on it.
Pros
  • Catching fishes
Cons
  • When they don’t work it’s best to try something else

Great Bait
December 2, 2021
These are great little jigs. Tuna tend to eat them up. I've only fished deep for blackfin with them, but they were really effective. I have seen others catch larger fish with them.
Pros
  • Great glow, easy to through, durable paint job.
Cons
  • Hooks

Glow Brings Them From Down Deep
October 19, 2021
Perfect size, weight, shape and profile to slay black sea bass on the deeper 120'-150' wrecks as they are migrating offshore for the winter. Need to use 15-20 lb braid to get it done with minimum scope. The Glow color is "da' bomb" for those deepwater wrecks and brings the big ones out from the structure to take a closer look.
Pros
  • Perfect size, weight and shape to get down to the bottom fast. Glow is a great color for deepwater wrecks and structure.
Cons
  • Costs too much as is, get them on sale if you can.

Perfect Tuna Jig
September 29, 2021
I’ve caught so many great fish using this lure! Of course you know as a fisherman you catch the most fish on the lure you use the most and this is the tuna jig I use. I highly recommend the Ahi USA Assault, especially the GLOW. I did add an additional hook to make it a butterfly hook setup. Good luck and keep a tight line.

Sea Biscuits
August 19, 2021
Great jigs for catching black sea bass. I also caught a couple triggerfish and beeliners with them while jigging. I like the assist hooks much better than a treble. It doesn't get hung up on the bottom as easily and still seems to catch just as many fish.
Pros
  • Assist hook doesn't get hung up as easily
  • Good finish
  • Good price
Cons
  • None noted

Ahi jig
August 22, 2020
We are using the ahi jig for black sea bass just adding a chunk of squid and also using it as the weight with a hook on our flounder rigs. Love the glow for the deep water and prefer the assist hook over the treble.

My Go Too Diamond Jig
March 29, 2020
The Assault Diamond Assist Jig is an absolute Striper and Bluefish slayer in my home waters of Long Island Sound, particularly in "The Race." I've also found that there is no need to wait for the sun to go down to fish the glow finish. In deep water I believe that it gives me that added edge in the visibility department that others just aren't talking advantage of. These jigs are a permanent part of my arsenal.
Pros
  • Strong hooks of the correct size, durable, finishes that get the fishes' attention and the action that makes them eat it
Cons
  • None
