Aftco Fighting Belts are designed to be the ultimate fighting belt with it's advanced design, materials and comfort. The super-thick, closed-cell EVA foam back pad is engineered to maximize both comfort and leverage, so that when the belt is positioned releatively low across the thighs, the load is distributed evenly for maximum pull when fighitng big fish stand-up style. Co-molded to the foam back pad is a heavy-duty, yet lightweight gold-anodized, stamped aluminum front plate. Super durable, it features posts at each side that accept unique Quick Clips, which "snap" the two piece belt straps (or optional drop straps) in place for quickly getting into or out of the belt. Also featured is a super strong, molded glass-filled nylon gimbal pocket that is engineered to quickly guide rod butts into an optimum fish fighting position. The gimbal pocket's stainless steel pin is adjustable for horizontal or vertical alignment. A perfect match for the Aftco Maxforce Harness, these fighting belts are well built and offer great value and performance. As an added bonus, all Aftco fighting belts float should they fall overboard.

Not used it yet fishing, but looks well made and rod butt slides easily into the slot. Belt clips easily onto the front and should make it easy to put on quickly.

Aftco belts are solid, comfortable, distribute the weight evenly, overall a great belt. I wouldn't dare anymore to fight a 200lb YFT without it. I own the Clarion and soon will get the Socorro.

You can go cheaper with fighting belts like I did with my first one, but don't expect them to be as comfortable, or use them for as long without tiring of it. These belts are quality made and will stay comfortable for much longer while your fighting huge fish, which i can attest to leads to less fatigue. Would you rather be focused on how uncomfortable you are or the giant fish your trying to land?

These are much nicer than most i have seen. love that they are so light and comfortable yet quite durable. I also love the quick strap feature so you do not have to lose mobility throughout the whole day, but can quickly get it on when you hook into a big fish.
