The Acme Need-L-Eel Fishing Lures are designed for casting or trolling. The profile of these eel lures and slow wobble mimics sand eels, silversides, needlefish, anchovies, smelt, as well as other slim-bodied baitfish. Predator fish won't be able to resist. These lures have been field tested by expert fishermen and has been proven to be deadly on many different species such as bonito, bluefish, false albacore, mackerel, school stripers, and weakfish. These lures can also be used in both freshwater and saltwater species. All Need-L-Eels are equipped with stainless steel split rings and high quality, corrosion resistant hooks. A faster retrieve or trolling speed is recommended for bonito, blues, and false albacore; retrieve Need-L-Eel more slowly for stripers and weakfish, lake trout and salmon.

Great lure but oh so hard to find

I've used the Need-L-Eels for blues and especially for albies. The action is great, and the single hook makes these so much easier on the fish than Deadly Dicks. Yet, they hook-up great. They won't cast quite as far as DD, but the action is better and I actually prefer them. No need for steel leaders either given their shape. Unfortunately, these are impossible to find in most tackle shops and are often out of stock on this site too. Help! I realize this post may not help but I am a fan.
