my go to combo for striped bass

i use this combo mostly for chunking striped bass on anchor and it performs flawlessly, the 7020c
has just the right action in the tip yet a strong back bone for solid hook sets. i actually purchased multiple set ups from tackle direct and love them! The fx-400 xgs accurate reel is one of my favorite reels, its light weight strong and smooth...will be purchasing another one soon

This is a great rod and reel combo. The reel has enough power to turn big fish off the bottom. The rod has plent of backbone! Great for light trolling. I bought 2 and will likely get 2 more!

Bought as a gift, personally own 4 Accurate reels.
Its an American made and engineered product.
Based upon my experience in the Key West-Dry Tortugas,
I'm sure this reel will handle and perform as expected.
I mounted the DX2-500 on this BX7020C rod and it handled amberjacks and groupers without a problem.
The fulcrum design works for me.
