It has what Accurate calls their AccuCast.... In their words: "Accurate reels have an effortless, precision casting capability with exclusive AccuCast, and once hooked up, the ease in which they can control the fight with a responsive lever drag. AccuCast allows anglers to precisely adjust cast-control tension to match conditions and/or skill level. The result is “thumbing†of the spool while casting is reduced. As a bonus, when discovering this new-found confidence, anglers will be encouraged to apply more energy to each cast to maximize distance. The AccuCast cast-control design doesnâ€â"˘t rely on the influence of centrifugal weights inside the reel, but rather works by the reelâ€â"˘s titanium drag washers slightly “grazing†the carbon fiber drag washers.
