The Accurate BX2-600NNLBLS Boss Extreme 2-Speed Left Hand Reel is part of Accurate’s new line of Boss Extreme 2-Speed TwinDrag reels offering fishermen the ultimate in versatility. The new BX2 reels feature a new ARB bearing that is shielded on both sides to increase its corrosion resistance, and the Accucast feature has been removed to create a smoother all around reel with an amazing free spool. Light tackle anglers will love their effortless, precision casting capabilities, and once hooked up, the ease in which they can control the fight with a responsive lever drag. Medium to heavy tackle anglers, on the other hand, can crank down hard on the TwinDrag to battle the largest game fish with heavy, braided lines. The exclusive TwinDrag system also supplies ultra-smooth drag operation, which results in fewer broken lines and less pulled hooks. Made in all of the most popular sizes from the previous generation of BX2 reels, Accurate have the perfect size reel to handle small, medium and larger size game fish from calico bass, halibut, redfish, bluefish, barracuda and king mackerel to big striped bass, sturgeon, yellowtail, dorado, amberjack, wahoo, tuna and billfish.

Best Grouper winching reel!
June 23, 2020
I do a LOT of reef fishing down where I live in the FL Keys. Black groupers are my favorite reef fish to catch but it very difficult to keep them from rocking you up i the sharp coral we have. I bought this reel especially because it has the lowest gear ratio in low speed of any reel in it’s class. The drag is smooth as butter and even when locked way down. When a big black grouper strikes I lift the rod as high as I can and with the low gear ratio I can just keep cranking like a winch. The grouper never gets a chance to drop his head snd run for the bottom. With this reel I catch 2 to 3 times the number of blacks that bite compared to the big shimano Stellas I have been using. Drag is great on both reels, but the low gear ratio on this reel makes all the difference in keeping the blacks coming up and not getting back down to the rocks. Has revolutionized my grouper fishing.
Pros
  • Well constructed, super smooth drag, light weight, easy switching between the two speeds, winch like low speed gear ratio.
Cons
  • Pretty expensive compared to some reels in it?s class but worth it if you can afford it.

WOW - what a reel

This is among the best pieces of tackle that I own. The drag is so smooth that you cannot even feel it playing out. Light enough to hold all day long at the rails. Plenty of drag and it just feels like a strong tough reel.
Pros
  • Light weight, strong, durable finish resists boat rash.
Cons
  • Accurate are a bit high maintenance and need to be serviced regularly.
