An extended bent handle with larger EVA knobs provides greater grip and power along with comfortable use. Perfect for windy weather with upgraded Infini brake design. It is a combination of magnetic brake and sealed centrifugal brake which allows almost limitless adjustment with the Infini brake system. The centrifugal brake controls the first half of the cast when the spool is rotation at its maximum speed. Once the spool slows, the magnetic brake then acts on the spool to keep it under control during the last half of the cast.

I own 7 Revos from SX to STX models. The Winch is one awesome reel. I use it to through everything from 1/4oz squarebills to 1oz deep diving DD22s.
Currently teamed with a St. Croix 7'0" MHM Avid crankbait rod with Sunline #12 fluorocarbon. My casting distance with crankbaits improved drastically after I started using this reel. I will be buying another one soon.

Bought this reel to use to fish my local harbors for Calico bass and the occasional Barracuda, Halibut, and sand bass that we get here in the Los Angeles and Orange county bays. The low gear ratio allows this reel to live up to its winch name. I am able to pull the fish away from the rocks and into the net quickly.

An Awesome Reel!

This is one durable reel. It's small and is easily and comfortably palmed. It has a smooth cast. It holds a lot of line. I use 50# Super 8 Slick Power Pro and St Croix Carolina Rig fishing rod. This rod, reel, and line combination is a great set up. I fish for catfish and this reel has no problems reeling in those cats. My biggest catfish on this set up is 8lbs. I don't target the monster fish, but I have no doubt that this reel could handle it. I have two of these reels, rods as well, and am about to go buy a third one. I highly recommend the Abu Garcia Revo3 Winch.

Just bought this reel, can you suggest a good rod to pair this with? I was looking at the St. Croix Triumph Musky Rod, maybe something in the 1/2 - 2.5oz lure weight?

That might be a bit heavy for that size reel. The St Croix Premier Crankbait rods would make a good match with the Abu Garcia Revo Winch Generation 3 Baitcasting Reel.
