This Chinese made reel in no way reflects the Abu Garcia standard of yesteryears.
It is a quasi attempt to satisfy a price point and capitalize on the AG name.
With only one bearing and plenty of plastic, there is a flip style dog that acts as the only anti reverse mechanism
Not a reel that will last.

Absolutely love every thing about this reel. I have caught 35 pound bull reds off the jetties and 10 pound snapper with this reel offshore I can't say enough good thing about it.

I have fished this reel and variations of same for as long as I can remember or near about 50 years. While this is most probably the least expensive reel I would consider buying, in my opinion dollar for dollar as an all around solid performer, if your in the market for a good reel this one is hard to beat.
