The Abel Nipper Tool is designed to be saltwater resistant with replaceable jaws that are machined out of premium grade stainless steel and then heat treated. These cutters are engineered to cut 7x - 100 lb mono and braid line. This tool is also made with T-6061 T6 aluminum body, Crucible CPM S35VN jaws, and 316 stainless steel pin.

Quality item, but still struggles with certain braids....

Its definitely the best nipper you can get. I've tried them all. Unfortunately it still struggles to cut certain braids. I've tried cutting Jerry Brown and some J-Braid lines and I would still need to pull on the line while pressing down hard on the nipper in order to get it to cut. It does cut leader line flawlessly which is what I use it for anyways. I have used other brands that struggle to cut leader line but this one does that job great.

If you do not tend to loose gear, get this. Abel will replace cutting edge if it wears out.

If you use braided fishing line, you can't beat the Abel nippers. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but they work well and they sure beat carrying a pair of scissors around.
Just be sure to put them on a lanyard of some sort to prevent loss. BTW....the Abel nippers make a great gift idea!
