Love this lure and so do the fish! just beware the Blues love this lure as well and will bite the tails off. So, it is best to order the replacement bodies too!

These rigs are fish catching machines. They're quality made lures, and they truly do catch fish when trolled at 1.5 to 3 knots. I personally fish them behind an eight ounce trolling sinker so I can run them closer to the boat, which alows for tighter turns and more control when fishing crowded areas.

Looking for suggestions on rod, reel, and super braid recommendations to use a 9ers 4-6" Shad Umbrella rig on. I was looking to stay on the budget friendly end. Was thinking a Penn Rival 30 LW with a Ugly Stik conventional 7' MH 30-50# Line rating. Any help on if this will work and what line to put on would be helpful

Hi Tyler, For your fishing application I would recommend a Penn SQL40LD2040C70LB Squall Lever Drag Conventional Combo. https://www.tackledirect.com/penn-sql40ld2040c70lb-squall-lever-drag-conventional-combo.html I would recommend to spool this with 65lb Powerpro Depth Hunter braid. https://www.tackledirect.com/powerpro-depth-hunter-braided-fishing-line-333yds-65lb.html This would be an ideal combo for trolling umbrella rigs to target striped bass and bluefish.
