Great reel - few minor issues

The reasons I'm not giving this a 5 stars is because of 2 minor issues I experienced with this reel. First is my lockdown spool nut wouldn't tighten all the way because it was stripped. I only took the spool of once to flip the hand retrieve and tie on backing. Maybe it was stripped prior but the piece seems very flimsy in comparison to the rest of the reel. Second is my delrin retrieve knob came unscrewed a few times on the water while reeling all the line back on spool after fishing. A drop of blue locktight on the knob took care of the issue. The nut had to be replaced, 3tand sent me a new one at no cost. The reel is great otherwise, both reeling and the drag are fantastic smooooooooth as butter. Looks great and is very light. The sealed drag is another plus, I fish hard and often, having a care free drag is a huge advantage.

Just returned from Rio Pico in Argentina using the TF 70

Just used the TF 70 on a 6 wt Sage vxp alongside my Hatch 5 plus . The 3T performed as well or better . Very strong for such a light reel . Drag worked well against those big Argentine fish . Would highly recommend the TF as a low cost addition . My guide loved it as well!

Are they Rt and left capable, I reel right handed.

They can be switched around. If you would us to send it to you with a right hand retrieve out of the box, you can specify that when you make the order.
