New favorite line. The color is ideal for surf fishing. It casts very well and the line is round and easy on the finger while casting heavier weights in rough surf. Holds knots and also has very, very minimal memory. Nice work Ande!!

The Ande IGFA in 16# is listed as .375 mm, while the Ande Premium 15# monofilament is .40 mm. For shore fishing around rocks do you think the Ande "premium" is overbuilt, or built stronger than the IGFA?

Hi Luke, The Ande Premium monofilament will be stronger than the Ande IGFA as the IGFA is rated to break very close to its rating to conform with tournament regulations. The premium being thicker will allow you to have more abrasion resistance and can go above the specified weight rating before it breaks as per Ande.
