Returning to the lineup with a new and improved design, the 13 Fishing Fate Black 3 Casting Rods offer versatile bass fishing performance like few others in their price range. Maintaining the performance tuned tapers that the Fate Black series is known for, the third generation features fast action casting models built on 30 Ton Japanese PVG30T carbon blanks for superior sensitivity and a responsive feel. New to the Fate Black series are 3 cranking models built on CGE2 Carbon Glass Elastomer blanks that combine E Glass Elastomers with 30 ton graphite resulting in a composite with the parabolic blank characteristics of E Glass and the lightness of graphite. The blanks are wrapped with Evolve Stainless Steel Alconite guides that offer excellent castability. All models are fitted with high density EVA handles in a split grip configuration, along with an Evolve Soft Touch Ported Reel Seat that keeps the rod light in the hand and exposes the bottom of the blank for uninhibited transmission of vibrations. Cosmetically, the Fate Black 3 has returned to its roots with a sleek all black design with striking chrome accenting.

- The con I have with this isn't with the product, but with the company. When I purchased this rod, the website said that they were in stock. To my surprise after not receiving my item after 2 weeks. The item was available at the supplier for shipment. It took a month for me to get my rod. The other issue I have is the extra cost of shipping. Most places don't charge extra to ship fishing rods (bass pro/ cabelas , tackle warehouse, academy sports) I had to pay $10 for the tube and another $10 for shipping. So my $80 rod is now $100 rod and a month late. I would recommend the 13 Fishing Fate Black rod however I will never purchase anything from Tackle Direct ever again.
