Solid Reel

The cheapest Concept can hold up with the best. This reel had been in my arsenal for 3 years now and it has done nothing but perform to the highest standards. The four different gear ratios make this reel a must for any type of fishing.

Another great 13 product

Liked the first A reel so much, I bought a second. Very smooth, quiet and longer casting. Cork grip a real bonus. Fish my 13 As and Es over my Shimanos and Diawas which cost much more. While Ive only had these less than a year, no problems to date.
Pros
  • Cost, casting, quiet, weight
Cons
  • The inside spool adjustment was a little hard to work with as no instructions

This reel is good for saltwater fishing. For the size of the reel you get lots of power and decent amount of line on the spool one thing that some people might not like is the loud bearings but I personally love it.
Pros
  • lots of power
Cons
  • loud bearing

Good reel
January 17, 2017
I purchased the 7.3 for topwater and jerkbait fishing and so far it's been good. Out of the box the spool bearings are louder than other reels I have but they seemed to quiet down after some use, or I just got used to it. Hopefully they will break in and quiet down more. It cast very well and the breaking system is easy to adjust. The exterior is nice and the cork knobs are comfortable. The only negative I have is side plate latch that holds it closed is very tight, this is a good thing but it's a hassle to open. Overall I like this reel but in this price range the only thing I see is more drag and a aluminum frame. Other reels offer better breaking systems, more line capacities, and are smoother feeling. Not a bad reel to buy but for the same price you can get much better reels than this.
Pros
  • Light, casts, and holds line.
Cons
  • Side plate lock is too tight.
