Put this 13 Fishing Concept A3 reel on a 13 Black musky rod. Casts smoothly and feels extremely comfortable. Use to spending considerably more for Shimano and Diawa reels and St Croix rods. Hope this setup over time will hold up as well as those mentioned above.
Pros
  • Lightweight and small. Great fit and can cast all day.

Musky and Stripers beware

Got two 13 Fishing Concept A3 reels for Christmas. Lightweight, super quiet, hold 200 plus yards of braid and 30 lbs of drag. Going after tarpon, striper and musky next spring. Matched these reels with 13s Black musky rods so should be able to cast all day. Hope the reels hold up as advertised.
Pros
  • Lightest big fish combo I`€™ve ever purchased.
Cons
  • Saw one review where reel had to be taken apart and screws lock tighted down.

this is a perfect reel for most saltwater fisherman you will get lots of drag for a low profile and the reel speed is also very fast. another great thing is the line capacity is great. but I would go for a reel size smaller like the 100 size if you are just catching small fish
Pros
  • great drag
Cons
  • none

Compact Baitcasting Delight

This reel was purchased to be used for fishing crankbaits and swimbaits for walleye. The reel took approximately 215yds of 14lb Sufix 832 spooled on tightly with mono backing. It was smooth out of the package and has maintained its smoothness throughout the time I have been fishing with it while cranking high resistance lures. It casts extremely well and backlashes are almost nonexistent due to the excellent centrifugal braking system. The drag functions very well, even when working against 30in walleye in heavy river current.
Pros
  • Smooth with excellent free spin, ergonomic, compact, smooth and powerful drag, excellent when casting lures from 1/4oz and up, the cork handles.
Cons
  • None
